Licensing FAQ

The evaluation, what happens when it expires, extensions, and the licence itself, in the order people usually ask. If your situation is not here, support can answer it directly.

The evaluation begins on first successful use and lasts 45 days. It does not begin at download or at installation.

Full access to all released Proactive capabilities, with unlimited projects and unlimited Revit models. No credit card is required.

Model-changing features pause. Proactive remains installed, and your Revit models, workset assignments, Proactive configuration, logs and diagnostics remain unchanged and available. Licensing, the About and status view, logs and diagnostics stay available in the installation you already have.

When the extension process is available, support will be able to issue a signed extension for the installation you already have. Accepting it will not require a replacement build, reinstall or reconfiguration. The extension process is not operational yet, so extensions cannot be issued today.

Not yet. The prices published on the Pricing page are planned launch pricing, and checkout will become available when the payment and licensing system is ready. You can evaluate Proactive in the meantime.

No. When commercial licensing is available, the paid entitlement replaces the evaluation entitlement in the same installation. No reinstall or reconfiguration is required, and existing project configuration remains intact.

By Proactive Seat. One seat permits one active computer.

No. Each active computer requires its own seat.

Yes. Release the existing activation and activate the replacement computer.

Release it remotely from Manage Licence or contact Proactive support.

Yes. Reinstalling does not automatically reset evaluation or licence status.

The Revit add-in does not require individual user accounts or collect user email addresses for licensing.

Internet is required for activation and periodic licence validation. A valid licence can continue for up to 7 days if verification temporarily becomes unavailable.
